In July 2016, the County of Madera released the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Austin Quarry. On July 19, the Planning Commission approved the project, 3 to 2.
The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing and then vote on Monday, September 12, 2016, at 9 a.m.
Address: 200 W. 4th St., in downtown Madera.
Be there, and be heard.
Try to get to the hearing by 7:30 a.m. When the Planning Commission held its hearing, hundreds of Vulcan employees from Tulare, Merced and Fresno counties showed up early in their blue T-shirts, and took up most of the seats. This time, let’s take the seats we deserve!
To download the whole EIR, go to the Madera County website. Be patient, it can take up to 30 minutes to download these documents.
